Behind the Scene

This painting was inspired by an evening paddle at sunset, where a narrow rocky point reached into the lake beneath windswept pines shaped by time and weather. As the sun slipped behind the trees, warm light filtered through the branches, casting golden reflections across gently rippling water.

The sky shifted through glowing oranges and deepening purples, holding that quiet moment between day and night. There’s a steady sense of gratitude here, in the resilience of the pines, the warmth of the fading light, and the openness of the Canadian landscape.
