Where is your favourite place to camp or spend time with nature? Bon Echo is one of mine. We would camp there every Thanksgiving weekend taking an extra day to spend in the relative solitude after most people packed up and headed for home. Some years it would be warm and gorgeous but others, so cold we would sleep with toques on in our flimsy tent and burrow under every blanket and piece of clothing we had brought with us. Every morning started with a walk to admire The Rock.
This gorgeous view has lured countless artists to put pencil to pad, brush to canvas. I enjoyed every moment painting this one, reliving the beauty and time well spent at this special place. The rock is a fun challenge to work through and I think a few more will be coming along over time.
Taking in the View, 20 x 20 inches, oil on canvas, available.
