Behind the Scene
Sometimes a scene just sticks with you. I painted a smaller version of this magical winter landscape a while back and loved it so much, I couldn’t resist trying it on a larger scale.
The piece captures the tranquil stillness of a forest in winter, with the sun breaking through the trees and glinting off sparkling snow. Muted tones of soft pink, peach, blue, and green lend a peaceful warmth to the scene, evoking the muffled silence that makes winter forests so wonderful. At its larger size, the painting becomes a centrepiece, filling a room with the calm and quiet glow of a winter morning.
