BIO
I'm a full-time professional artist who finds endless inspiration in the natural world, especially the peaceful retreat of our cottage and surrounding area. Sunrises are my muse, and I love capturing their beauty on canvas.
My art delves into the Canadian landscape, using oils to create detailed and captivating scenes. I want viewers to feel like they're part of the scene, exploring the shapes, colours, and light that make our surroundings so special. I'm fascinated by how light can transform a landscape, capturing those fleeting, soul-stirring moments.
Painting is my meditation, a way to escape reality and fully immerse myself in the beauty of my subject. It helps me appreciate and understand each place I visit on a deeper level, enriching my connection to the world.
Largely self-taught, I am honoured to have attained Signature Status with the Federation of Canadian Artists (AFCA) and am an elected member of both the Society of Canadian Artists and the Ontario Society of Artists. I'm also a proud member of the Rotary Club of Whitby Sunrise.
I'm excited for the journey ahead, as I continue to discover and share the beauty and wonder of our world through my art.
