New Work: Morning Light

Finding that sunrise glow is a fun challenge to paint with the humid early morning air and the dramatic colour transitions. I worked this one up from a small sketch a few weeks ago and enjoyed painting the sun skimming off that glass-flat water. Now that we are into autumn, those daybreaks on the lake are so precious with so few left in the year. Fingers are crossed for a couple more!
