New Work: Pine Shadows

I had fun playing with temperature on this one—striving for the difference between being in the hot late-day sun and the cool early evening shadows. Describing the warmth and vibrancy of the treetops and jutting points of shoreline that catch the very last rays of sunshine before the shadows cover them for the night. It's my favourite time of day to kayak...so quiet, calm, and peaceful.
