This landmark point catches the late-day sun so beautifully and sets the rocks aglow. Standing at the top alongside those craggily red pines, the view of the lake is fantastic and offers a spectacular alternate perspective from kayaking along the shore. Years ago, the kids would jump from the highest points, falling down into the deep cool water below with an excited whoop and a huge splash. Ah, a painting for another day...
