Some great news came my way this week when I heard that I've been included in the Manhattan Arts International “New Beginnings” exhibition. I was honoured to receive an Award of Excellence, the Artist Showcase Award, and the Coaching Award.
Artists from around the world make up this online exhibition. Renee Phillips, the founder/direction of Manhattan Arts International, and Curator of “New Beginnings” says, "This was a tough one to curate because the entries were fantastic. I reviewed more than 600 entries several times. In my usual fashion, I exceeded the original plan to feature 30 artists and have selected an incredible 61 artists for this exhibition." Renee goes on to say, "After more than 100 hours of deliberation I chose the top award-winning artists based on their highly developed individual styles, cohesive and expansive bodies of work, their superior creative and technical skills, and how well their submissions and statements reflect the theme New Beginnings."

The theme of this exhibition hits close to home for me as I continue to work hard on my New Beginning. Transitioning from running a graphic design business to painting full time this past year has been exhilarating, challenging and incredibly rewarding. It has been a more successful year than I could have imagined and I'm ready and raring to paint away 2017. Looking forward to some new challenges, connecting with more awesome people, and squeezing in some travel adventures—it's going to be a fantastic year!
The New Beginnings exhibition runs from December 27, 2016 – February 27, 2017. I hope you'll have a look through the exhibition and connect with these wonderful artists. www.manhattanarts.com/new-beginnings-exhibition
