CANADIAN OIL PAINTER

TRAVEL SKETCHES
Slowing down, connecting, and taking it all in.
Travel has always inspired the way I see the world. To travel light, I sketch on my iPad, creating quick drawings that become part of my personal travel journal. Made during or shortly after memorable experiences, these loose, spontaneous sketches preserve a moment, a feeling, or a place rather than striving for perfection.
Unlike my finished oil paintings, these drawings are simply for the joy of observing and remembering. They are visual notes from the journey, capturing architecture, landscapes, cafés, quiet streets, and unexpected discoveries that might otherwise fade with time. Each sketch becomes a memory I can revisit long after the trip has ended, often inspiring ideas that find their way into my paintings.
I'm sharing these pages from my travel journal in the hope they encourage you to slow down, notice the details, and discover the joy of observation wherever your own travels take you. Browse the collection below and join me in reliving these moments, one sketch at a time.
I will never share your private information.
