I'm very happy to be participating in the upcoming Autumn Art Sale at the McMichael Art Gallery in Kleinburg, October 18–20. This is the McMichael Volunteer Committee’s annual signature fundraiser and is recognized as one of the most prestigious events displaying original works from some of Canada’s most talented artists. There is no better setting than the gallery’s stunning Grand Hall, surrounded by 100 acres of beautiful conservation land, to showcase unique one-of-a-kind works. Over the course of three days, art will be on view and available for purchase from 49 juried artists.
A percentage of all art purchases made during this sale goes to support volunteer-funded projects that enhance the visitor experience and support special gallery initiatives and valuable children’s education programs. Over the years, the Volunteer Committee has contributed more than $600,000 to a variety of important exhibitions and programs at the McMichael Canadian Art Collection.
The Opening Night Gala is on Friday, October 18th from 6 to 10 pm and features complimentary hors d’oeuvres, free parking, and admission to the art sale, and a cash bar. The sale continues on Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm. During the weekend admission to the Art Sale is free, however paid parking is in effect as is regular admission to the gallery’s exhibitions.
