Around the Point

This painting was inspired by the quiet anticipation of discovery. I love that gentle pull to find out what lies just ahead. In those still early hours, when the lake is covered in soft mist and the world is quiet, the sun’s rays move gently through the trees, lighting up the forest. This is my attempt to capture the calm, clarity, and sense of wonder that comes with being still and simply looking toward the light.
