This painting was inspired by one of those quiet stretches of shoreline where the morning sun first finds the tops of the pines, while the water below remains calm and reflective. It wasn't a dramatic sunrise or a grand vista. It was a peaceful moment that reminded me why I love spending time on the water.

As I painted, I focused on the contrast between the warm light in the trees and the cool stillness below. Those subtle shifts in light and colour are often what make a place feel alive.

Quiet Point is a reflection of those moments when the world feels unhurried and nature quietly asks us to slow down. I hope it brings that same sense of peace into the home of whoever lives with it.
