What a morning this was! The sun was just starting to lift over the treeline… not all at once, but slowly, like it was taking a deep breath. Soft beams of light filtered through the branches, warm and diffused, touching the mist as it rose from the lake. Everything felt quiet as clouds drifted overhead, their shapes mirrored in the water below, slightly blurred, like memory.
