Art for Aleppo

Postcard Art Show in support of the Children of Aleppo

Hope, 5.8" x 4.1", oil on canvas paper mounted on illustration board

I'm very pleased to be taking part in an exhibition that's coming up at the Catalyst Gallery in Beacon, New York in April of this year. In response to the appalling atrocities in Aleppo, specifically to the children affected by this war, a group of visual artists from around the world are coming together to raise funds to help supply Syrian children with emergency care, food and water.

Each artist has created a postcard size artwork, written a short statement on the back about war, freedom, or anything that moves them, then mailed the postcard to the gallery. No envelopes are used so that the postcards arrive at the gallery travel worn.

To purchase any of the original art, make a donation of $25 (USD) through Art for Aleppo's donation page at www.savethechildren.org. Be sure to give your name. Then send an email to info@artforaleppo.org, with your name, address, and the name of the artist. Each postcard will also be photographed and included in a book that will be available for purchase on Blurb.com beginning on April 20th. 100% of the sales from both the original artwork as well as the book will go directly to Save the Children Syria.
