Holding Still

This is a new painting about that fleeting moment just before the sun crests the horizon—when the world holds its breath, the sky blushes with first light, and the lake is perfectly still. It’s that moment when night surrenders to day and the wonder of the in-between.

I tried to capture that hush, that glow, that sense of infinite possibility. A little love letter to Canada and the beauty it gives us.
