New Work: Calm Communion

This painting came from a hike back in the woods on a mild day in late winter. The snow was wet and heavy, and melting fast. A curious beaver swam up the creek and noticed me sitting on a rock enjoying the peace and quiet calm. We spent quite a while watching and wondering about each other. I enjoyed his company very much.
